The Buena Vista Parent - Teacher Association (BV PTA) is a cooperation between parents and teachers to support the education and developmental needs of our children. The Buena Vista PTA is a member of the California State PTA and the National PTA. The PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. A not-for-profit association of parents, educators, students, and other citizens active in their schools and communities, PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children.

Through dues, donations and fundraising, the BV PTA is able to contribute to many aspects of our children's education and educational environment. Some of the programs the BV PTA sponsors are Reflections, assemblies, parent education, and the science program.

The BV PTA donates money to our school library for new books.  And we donate money to each teacher each year for classroom supplies.

The BV PTA builds on the great community we have at our school. We sponsor the Carnival in the fall and the Family Dinner/Talent Show in the spring.

The BV PTA works to improve the school environment.  Each year, improvements are made to the landscaping throughout the campus.  Working with the school district, the BV PTA has upgraded the main playground. More recently, the BV PTA installed the Shade Structure by the main playground to provide much welcomed relief from the sun. The BV PTA puchased the bicycles and tricycles for the kinders.
